Hola!!
I made it here to the Provo MTC! What a place to be truly! I love seeing Heritage halls everyday out the windows! I of course have to give a little shoutout to Makayla because it was her birthday and I love her so much!
This week has been really awesome actually!! It is so fun to be here in person with my district and my companion Hermana Miles I am obsessed with her she is the GOAT for real! We're both like five feet tall which is perfect. Everyday is full of tons of spiritual experiences and I laugh so so hard I am finding so much more joy here than I thought I would, which has been so fun! We have great sisters in our building and it is actually just so fun everywhere here. I love the MTC campus because it reminds me of BYU and it is so so beautiful I'm so grateful for the people that keep it so nice for us!
Unfortunately after telling my mom that I didn't need to bring any medicine because I never get sick (so not true I don't know why I thought that?) I slept here the first night and woke up pretty ill but theres a lot of germs here so apparently everyone gets sick and I'm feeling much better now!!
It has been fun to see so many familiar faces here and to meet lots of new people! I love the Hermanas in my district they are so so so funny and we have such a great time. ALSO shoutout so whoever left us a bag of rolls on our door I owe you everything and they were so delicious and made me so happy.
On Sundays here we do what is called the "Go and Do Experience" where we get like a prompt and have a little devotional explaining it and then we basically have a silent personal study for two hours which sounds insane and not that fun but I really loved it! It has been so cool to see how things change as I literally dedicate time to the Lord and create a more personal relationship with him!
We had a great devotional yesterday from Elder and Sister Cziesla and I loved their talks. They reminded us that if we are willing to bear an honest testimony of Jesus Chrsit, that we are qualified for this calling!!
In one of our meetings this week we sang How Gentle God's Commands and I found out that I LOVE that song! All the verses are really good but I especially love verse 3 where it says "Why should this anxious load press down your weary mind? Haste to your Heavenly Father's throne and sweet refreshment find." I was so touched by this song! I definitely have had more feelings of anxiety and stress and fear and discouragement here than ever before, but I also have drawn closer to my Heavenly Parents than ever before in my life and I can feel so refreshed in that relationship! I don't know if that really makes sense but it has been really special to me this week! I know that as you bring your "anxious load" to Heavenly Father that you can find peace in the things that you are going through!
Gods got you!! He cares about you!! I love you!!
